All Great American tours INCLUDE MOTORCYCLE RENTAL. You are also welcome to ride your own motorcycle at a substantial savings.  Ask us if you need help with shipping arrangements.  If you bring your bike by trailer, we will arrange a secure place to park your tow vehicle and trailer while you are riding.

You'll have your choice of any available Harley-Davidson motorcycle. On some tours, selected models from other manufacturers such as Honda and BMW may be available at extra cost. All models may not be available on all tours, so we recommend you reserve early for best selection. Loaner helmets, gloves, jackets and other riding gear may be available, but we recommend you bring your own.

Rentals include all taxes and fees. Every rental motorcycle also INCLUDES CDW and Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI), which protects the Renter against claims made by a third party for up to $1,000,000 in bodily injury and/or property damage caused as the result of an accident.  The cost for this protection ranges from $35 - 50 per day, which can be a significant factor when comparing similar tours. We want our guests to know exactly what their tour will cost - without expensive "add-ons" at the rental counter.

Most motorcycle, auto or homeowner's insurance will NOT cover a rental motorcycle, and without CDW you would be responsible for the total repair or replacement cost in the event of accident or theft. Details of the CDW and other insurance protection are available here for your review. These programs and policies may vary at some of our alternate rental agencies; we will advise you accordingly.

Although the rental cost, state sales tax, local fees, CDW and SLI is included in the tour price, you will need a credit card for security/damage deposit when you sign the rental contract and pick up your bike.

Exact pricing, reservation / cancellation policies and damage deductible and/or deposit varies between locations and rental agencies. When you select your tour and bike, we will give you all the details... and a complete price with no hidden charges, all you add is fuel. We'll be happy to answer any questions, and make the needed arrangements for you at no charge, once we have some basic information from you.

Some individuals prefer to ride their own motorcycles. You may not save money (compared to a rental), but the familiarity and peace-of-mind you'll have on your own wheels can make shipping worth consideration. We'll have a place to receive your bike; you'll need to arrange a place for pick-up; usually your local dealer will probably do this for a small fee.

Crating is not required - special pallets are used and your fuel tank should be as nearly empty as possible. Discounts are available for multiple bike shipments to and from the same cities at the same time. We'll be glad to make the arrangements for you at no charge.
