IMG2840Route 66 was our most popular tour in 2011 and we're looking forward to another great run in 2012. We leave Chicago rolling west, along the same ribbon of highway that changed the face of America beginning three generations ago.

It's been called America's Main Street, the Mother Road, Will Rogers Highway and other names less famous. By whatever moniker chosen, that ribbon of highway stretching 2,448 miles from Chicago to Los Angeles carries more American Legend and images of our past than any other pathway across this great nation.Gateway

For most riders the appeal of the Mother Road is not spectacular scenery, twisty, high elevation passes or an abundance of places to challenge your riding skill.

For Route 66, the magic is in the STOPS, the history and the personalities you'll meet along the way. It's an immersion in an America that in many places is not much changed since the last century.

Riding from east to west, we'll pass through three time zones and eight states - Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, then ending at the Santa Monica Pier in California. Along the way we'll stop at places you thought existed only in the movies or Steinbeck novels and hear first-hand the tales of days gone by from people who actually lived them.

Arches National Park The details that have made Great American Touring a favorite for riders from all over the world are here on Route 66 as well. Our professional guide is a Route 66 veteran and the tour staff is here to take care of all your support needs. Breakfast and dinner are INCLUDED almost every day - no guesswork as to what your costs will be.

Plan your flight home for anytime on June 7 or see the sights in LA for as long as you care to stay. See Daily Itinerary
