GREAT AMERICAN MOTORCYCLE TOURING

1 800 727-3390 • 00 1 440 829-7241 Int'l.

In short, you'll have much the same experience that you would have on a guided tour. Of course there's no support vehicle or professional tour staff, but you've got the freedom to ride at your own pace and enjoy the trip in your own way.

You DO get our personalized service in planning your self-guided tour. We'll modify the itinerary if you wish, make the tour shorter or longer, or give you a price for one or more alternate plans.

In many cases, there is no extra cost to customize a Self-Guided Tour (unless you wish to upgrade accommodations, add days, etc.)

"What's Included" tells you more about all our tours, and can help you decide if self-guided tour is right for you.

For details about each Self-Guided Tour, click on the title in the list below. Call us at 800-727-3390 with any questions.

We've built a reputation for offering world-class guided tours. GREAT RIDING each and every day and our personal attention to detail and is what sets us apart from the rest.

For several years we've been offering several of our most popular tours with a Self-Guided option. It's also possible to take tours that have been on our schedule in the past, but are not being offered in 2009. We'll even create a special self-guided tour to meet the needs of you or your group.

We provide:

Your schedule doesn't work with ours? You'd rather not ride with a group?
The tour you want is not on our schedule for 2010?
You need a more economical motorcycle vacation?

Consider a SELF-GUIDED Tour

Sunshine Highways

SELF-GUIDED 14-DAY

14D / 15N 2800 miles (4500km)

Las Vegas, NV

This has been one of our most popular Full Service Tours. It's a great ride in so many ways and can be done anytime from late May to mid-October. Because it appeals to so many people, we're offering it with a self-guided option. If a shorter trip is necessary, it can also be taken as an seven-day self-guided tour . More

Sunshine Highways

SELF-GUIDED 7-DAY

7D / 8N 1300 miles (2100km)

Las Vegas, NV

Not everyone has two full weeks to enjoy a ride, so we've made a seven-day version. Cutting the trip "in half" sounds like a big sacrifice to make, but you'll still get to ride some of the best roads in the Southwest. Visit Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, Monument Valley, and more, and spend two nights at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. More

Northern California / Lake Tahoe

SELF-GUIDED 8-DAY

8D / 9N 1300 miles (2100km)

San Francisco, CA

In past years, this tour has been a SIGNATURE TOUR, meaning that it includes upgraded, luxury accommodations and gourmet meals. For this self-guided version, the hotels include many of the same first-class accommodations as the original tour, with many luxury amenities. Meals are of course at your option. Our "Suggested Dining" list includes some wonderful choices, previously part of the Signature Tour. More

California / Yosemite

SELF-GUIDED 12-DAY

12D / 13N 2680 miles (4300km)

Los Angeles, CA

Explore the back roads of California as you make a loop from Los Angeles to the northern coast and back. You'll see the best of California - mountains, forests, and some of the most famous National Parks in the west - Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon. Ride for mile after mile along the coast, the sea breeze filling you you lungs as the steady sound of the bike accompanies you down some of the most satisfying motorcycle roads in California. More

Colorado High Country

SELF-GUIDED 8-DAY

8D / 9N 1280 miles (2060km)

Denver, CO

Colorado is a wonderful place to see on two wheels, and during this eight-day ride you'll see the best of it. Explore the back roads from Denver to Durango and back, taking in all the mountain passes and incredible scenery along the way. The tour starts and ends in Denver. More

San Francisco / Las Vegas

SELF-GUIDED 7-DAY

7D / 8N 1150 miles (1850km)

Start in San Francisco, CA
End in Las Vegas, NV

This is a ONE-WAY tour, NOT a loop and there's no better way to see so much of California in just a week! You'll explore coastline, mountains, forests and desert. Coincidentally, San Francisco or Las Vegas are both excellent places to extend your stay if you like.

There's NO EXTRA CHARGE for the one-way rental and we'll gladly help with the logistics of transporting any luggage not carried on your bike to your destination. This trip can be started in EITHER San Francisco or Las Vegas. More
